If you want something shorter, we also organize a 3 day desert tour from Casablanca. If you want longer, we can extend this trip to 5, 6, or even 10 days across Morocco.
At the morning by 8 pm our driver will meet you at the lobby of your accommodation, greetings, and leave by the highway to the last imperial city, Meknes found at the second half of the 17 century, by Moulay Ismail, the leader founder of the actual dynasty. We will go for a visit of the most important attractions of the old Medina ; Souani reservoir, the graineriers, the Mishouar of the royal palace including the mausolium of the founder, and the old prison, ending in the main gate, and the heart of the city Lahdim square, and Bab Mansour. Later on, we keep driving through the most beautiful mountains of middle Atlas with its nice cedar forest, and monkey colonies, through a nice scenery, spread Berber villages we will drive far south. Overnight in Midelt.
Today after breakfast we will keep navigating to the south, again through valleys and mountains of the high Atlas, in Ziz valley we are invited for a lunch in a nice place and later a walk of one hour in the fields, a cup of tea with local family, than drive to the next city, Erfoud the town of fossils and dates, there we visit a fossil polisher, before we head to the last destination, Merzouga. One hour before sunset starts the experience of exploring Sahara sand and enjoying a spectacular sunset, you will start riding a camels. Overnight in Camp, with a Berber local dinner and music around the fire place, while watching stars.
Early at the morning, and because you are in Sahara, you should not lose these nice moments, watching sunrise for up the sand dunes around your camp. Later breakfast shower, and ride again camels out of the sand dune to meet your driver again, and leave in direction west to explore mountains this time, high Atlas mountains with its pentoresque landscape, valleys and canyons. There we stop for pictures in Toudra valley, we can go also for a walk. Later get to the famous canyon, and after we keep driving by the rocky banks of the river up by the scatterd villages and nomads, to the famous village Imilchil. Overnight with a family in a local little refuge.
In such a special day, you wake up for a walke in the village and fields, later a nice breakfast and shower. Once and for the last lap back to Casablanca, you will drive by the famous lakes high in the mountains, very wellkbown with a festival of cooperative marriage that takes place every summer. A little snaky and spectacular road is taking you out of the majestic mountains, and always driving through villages and valleys , drive by Kasbah Tadla, agricultural city belonging to the messa Doukala, by highway we keep driving to Casablanca. Yes, 4 days is a very good timing to explore the Sahara Desert from Casablanca or Rabat without feeling too rushed. You will visit Meknes, drive through the Atlas Mountains, enjoy camel trekking in Merzouga, and explore Todra Gorge. If you only have 3 days, it is possible, but 4 days is more comfortable.
Morocco is a big country, so there are some long drives.
Day 1: Around 5–6 hours with stops.
Day 2: Around 4–5 hours with scenic stops.
Day 3: Around 5 hours including Todra Gorge visit.
Day 4: Around 5–6 hours back to Casablanca.

No, camel riding is easy and slow. It takes about 1 hour to reach the desert camp. If you don’t want to ride a camel, we can arrange a 4x4 transfer to the camp.
