12 Days Morocco Tour from Casablanca to Marrakech

 After breakfast today our drive trip is around 300Km, after breakfast we will start the day visiting the famous and gigantic mosque Hassan ll, drive aroud casablanca to explore some more touristic places, la courniche; the seaside walk, rick's cafe and more, than keep on road in direction north,to arrive in Rabat the capital of the country, there we will visit Hassan tower, kasbah Oudayas, we keep on road for a few hour to the bleu city , Chefchaouen, a nicely washed bleu and white old town welknwon with its artistic painted alleyways, and the nice active square, hart of the town, there you are invited to enjoy a smooth and nice walk through the tiny alleyways take plenty of picture and smele nice flavors and parfumes, visit the old Kasbah, and enjoy observing the activities of people in the streets ant the square, a sunset is recommended from the famous view Bouzaafer mosque.

we still have time to explore more the blue town walk of the early morning that time of the day streets are still calm, to have an opportunity of picturesque streets, back to the hotel to enjoy a nice and authentic breakfast, later we leave the hotel, and Chefchaouen for 200km, in direction of the famous Roman ruines, throw the groves of olive trees and olive press, pass by Ouazzan washed in green and white; a small city in the Rif mountains, the cradle of the famous Jellaba (men s’ suit) and kaftan (women s’ suit). Ouazzan the city capital of soufisme and zaouïa, was also a city of one of the biggest Jewish communities in 20th century, and in which the shrine of the Rabbi Imran ben Dioan is. One hour and a half later, you will be traveling far in time in the roman ruins Volubilis, not will restored, but still interesting with the arches the mosaics and columns it is standing between colins of wheat, Mise, and olive tree groves. In almost 1 hour visit you will enjoy trip to the old time, before driving again for one hour and half to Fes, overnight with bed and breakfast.

We start our day and visit by the suburbs, by car visiting the Royal palace Gate, the ceramic town and a view over the old Medina, it is a day of discovery before you came back to your accommodation; overnight in Fes.

As always and after a rich breakfast, In 200km we are invited to enjoy a relaxing day trip through the mountains of the Middle Atlas mountains, in different natural and cultural aspects and deferent vegetation belts; our day starts with a drive to the mountain village Bhalil a nice and peaceful village wellknwon with its houses built on their ancestors' caves, in these historical caves we have an opportunity to visit and do a pause for a cup of tea with a family, later after a nice pause we keep travelling the middle Atlas with its forest of Cidar trees, the wood that is used in old historical buildings in Fes, you may see that in your visit. A stop in Ifrane the little Switzerland of Morocco is recommended, a nice and clean town, that will make you feel out of place for a while, it is a town found during the colonial 10th century, as a holiday cool place during summer and snow attractions during winter. Keeping on adventure in cedar forests where some monkey colonies are we can stop to to have some fan if we find some of these on our way, people usually take pictures with them. The distance today to the desert is too much shorter than ever, 250km that will change our perspective about sahara desert, make us learn a lot about it, at the same time enjoy the trip twords, driving through the high Atlas with its Junipers and the flat land covered partially by thin and thorny leaved bushes, a landscape that takes people remember Australia desert!!!. After crossing the high Atlas and just at the southern feet of the mountains you will come by the biggest valley of date palms in Morocco Ziz valley with almost 7 million trees of dates, it is the pri-saharian with is valleys and canyons, rocks and green, empty land and busy river banks, small villages along both riversides, land of contrast and beauty. Scenic views of canyons, all in a a distance while you are driving through green of palms and ocher rocks your long day driving come to end in a beautiful hotel, the age sand dunes of Merzouga, one of the castles of mud spread in the valley; overnight in Merzouga half board.

today the drive of 300km will take us to many contrasts of colors, cultures, and nature, following the ancient caravans' trails of thousands of years back before founding the roads at the 20th century. Starting the day by a workshop of terracotta iwith a local family in Skoura valley, where you guys you can make your own little things and enjoy some time touching mud and bringing back childhood memories, it is a nice opportunity for children play with mud and bringing out thier creativity. the valley of Skoura visit its highlight Kasbah Amridil of the 17th century still standing strongly in face of years, later stop in Ouarzazate to have a high regard and take some pictures for the Kasbah TAOURIRT, before we leave to visit the famous scenic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou , still the panoramic views of Tizi N’Tichka are on our path to Marrakesh, late in the afternoon we get to the red city Marrakesh. The entire day is devoted to exploring the famous city of Marrakech, the second oldest Imperial city which has for centuries been an important stop for traders and travelers. Your tour will include the famous Jardin Majoralle, the Bahia Palace and the Saadian tombs. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, with its 66 metre high minaret dominating the centre of Marrakech.
In the afternoon visit Djemaa El Fna Square, the Centre square of the medina which comes alive by sunset and through night with local storytellers, musicians, entertainers, snake charmers and the scent of delicious food being grilled over hot coals. Overnight in the same hotel.

early morning we drive in direction of Essaouira the famous coastal city for one day trip to enjoy the activities of people and the deferent style of daily life from Marrakesh, relax over a freshly caught fish lunch at a local restaurant, stroll through the serene squares, browse artisan shops and galleries, and observe the handicrafts of the ’tuya’ wood found only in Morocco, late in the afternoon drive back to Marrakesh.
