8 days tour from marrakech to merzouga

After breakfast, we leave Marrakech and drive to the Ouzoud waterfalls, one of the most beautiful natural places in Morocco. On the road, you’ll see olive trees, mountain views, and little Berber villages. When we arrive, we go on a short hike with a local guide. You’ll see the waterfalls from the top and also walk down to the bottom, maybe see some wild monkeys jumping in the trees. We drink tea near the river and enjoy the sound of the water.

Today is full of discovery. After breakfast, we drive to Demnate, a quiet town near the mountains. Here you will see something unique – real dinosaur footprints still visible in the rocks! A small surprise that many don’t expect.

Then we go to Ifoulou, a beautiful village in the high Atlas. We do a short hike there, visit a local Kasbah, and enjoy lunch in a local family house. The food is simple but very tasty – homemade bread, olive oil, and traditional dishes.

In the afternoon, we pass through the Rose Valley, where the people grow roses for oil and perfume. We may stop at a small women’s cooperative. Finally, we arrive at Dades Valley with amazing rock formations and old kasbahs.

After breakfast, we drive through the Todra Gorges, a stunning place with high canyon walls. You can walk inside the gorge where there is a fresh river and see climbers on the rocks. After that, we go deeper into the south.

We pass through valleys and deserts, palm trees and kasbahs. When we reach Merzouga, your real desert adventure starts. You will ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes. The ride is slow and peaceful. You watch the sunset on top of the sand.

At the camp, we have a warm dinner, Berber music around the fire, and you sleep in a luxury desert tent under the stars. For many people, this is the best night of the trip.

🐫 Camel Ride Included

In the morning, you can wake up early to see the sunrise. It’s quiet and magical. After breakfast at the camp, you ride back by camel or take the 4x4 car. Then we visit Rissani, a town famous for its market and old traditions.

We also stop for a cooking class with Chef Hassan, where you learn how to make Moroccan tajine or couscous. After lunch, we continue our drive through the Anti Atlas Mountains, dry lands, rock canyons, and small oasis. We arrive in Ouarzazate, called the "Hollywood of Morocco."

After breakfast, we visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a big old kasbah where many movies were filmed – Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and others. We walk inside the kasbah and take photos from the top. You can also enjoy a small painting workshop, where local artists use natural colors.

Then we drive back to Marrakech across the High Atlas Mountains. The road is winding, but the views are incredible. We cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest in Morocco. By evening, we arrive in Marrakech again.

After breakfast, you meet your local city guide and start a 4 hours guided tour of Marrakech medina. You’ll visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, and the beautiful Bahia Palace. The guide will share stories, history, and local life.

In the afternoon, you’re free to explore Jemaa el-Fnaa square. It’s a lively place with food stands, musicians, snake charmers, and colorful shops in the souks. You can eat, shop, take pictures, and enjoy the energy of Marrakech.
