Day Trip From Marrakech To Ouzoud Waterfalls

As you travel the country, learn about the Berber culture. To see the stunning scenery, take a boat ride to the falls and walk down the winding slopes.

Start by having your hotel or riad picked up before heading to one of North Africa's most breathtaking waterfalls, which is located 150 kilometers (93 mph) north of Marrakech.

Admire views of the cascades that drop 360 feet (110 meters) into the pool below as you approach the settlement of Ouzoud. Learn about Berber culture as you follow your local guide through olive gardens to an argan oil cooperative. Take advantage of the chance to observe the scenery and take pictures.

To reach a viewpoint where you may purchase fresh orange juice, keep going down the network of paths. Board a traditional boat for a little journey on the pool at the foot of the waterfalls. After that, have a late lunch at a neighboring restaurant while overlooking the falls.

For your transfer back to Marrakech in the middle of the day, climb a flight of stairs out of the valley.

Know before you go :

• Either a group or a private tour is available.
• The terrain is rough and steep in some places as you make your way from the top of the waterfalls to the bottom. Please wear appropriate footwear and arrive prepared.
• The cost does not include lunch. The tour leader will suggest our specifically chosen restaurant, and you may choose whether to join the group for lunch while admiring the waterfalls at this location. It includes a tagine, a small salad, bread, olives, fruit, and a bottle of water for about ten euros. If you'd rather, you can opt to eat somewhere else.
• Have a substantial breakfast or bring snacks in advance of the late lunch (2.30 pm and later).
• 3 hours are spent traveling in each way, and 4 hours are spent at Ouzoud.
• Around the waterfalls, there are wild monkeys living in the woods. You can watch them and take photographs, but be careful not to touch or feed them.
• Only once a minimum number of participants has been attained will group trips be divided into distinct language groups.
